Cllr Asher Craig

Deputy Mayor & Cabinet Member Children, Education, Skills & Equalities Bristol City Council Asher is a community activist, leader, management consultant and local politician with over 30 years of experience advocating for voiceless and marginalized communities.

Her work has focused on tackling inequalities and fighting for social and racial justice. Asher was elected as the Labour Councillor for the ward of St George West, Bristol in 2016 and appointed to the Cabinet as Neighbourhoods portfolio lead in August of that year. In 2017, she was asked to take on the new role of Deputy Mayor for Communities, Equalities and Public Health. Asher was re-elected as a Councillor in 2021 and appointed as Cabinet Lead for Children, Education & Equalities in October of that year. As Equalities lead, Asher has been the driving force behind Bristol City Council’s transformative commitments to address both structural and institutional racism and wider discrimination. She has fast-forwarded a range of actions and award-winning initiatives and programmes in the areas of equality, diversity, inclusion, and leadership, including the city’s Equality Charter. Asher is the Chair and Co-founder of the multi-award-winning Stepping UP Leadership Academy and also chairs the city’s Legacy Steering Group, which is leading the city’s response to its involvement in the Transatlantic Trafficking of Enslaved Africans (TTEA).

Sir. Kt, H. Prof Gabriele PaoPei Andreoli

Professor Andreoli is the honorary president of the Institute for Advance Studies and Cooperation. He is a fellow member of the American Society of Diplomacy and Political Science; academician of social sciences at IASS, Florida, USA; a member of the “Real Societad de Armigeros de Espana”, researcher and honorary professor at the Catholic

University of New Spain, Miami, USA. He has worked with numerous governments and agencies, as well as public and private institutions around the world. Supha Xayprasith-Mays is an accomplished Businesswoman, Community Leader, and Philanthropist. With over 25 years of experience working for Fortune 500 companies, such as Wal-Mart, Sears & Roebuck, JC Penny, and Robert Half International,

she has managed multi-million dollar operations and led teams of up to 10,000 associates and employees. Rory Moore

Rory Moore is a highly accomplished Entrepreneur and Social Activist who has made significant contributions to the fields of Ed tech and social entrepreneurship. As an Ed tech entrepreneur, Rory has received numerous accolades, including being named Entrepreneur of the Year and being recognized

by Forbes as one of the 30 Under 30 in Europe. Rory has also been recognized by the UK Prime Minister and the United Nations for his contributions to social entrepreneurship and youth empowerment. Child to political refugees, Maya moved to the U.K. from Iran, aged 13. Her life has since been a beautiful struggle of finding herself, her purpose and her voice as well as inspiring others and being inspired along the way. gaining a place at medical school some years ago. As a surgeon, aesthetic doctor, entrepreneur and spiritual catalyst, Maya has big dreams to use her journey, her pain and the lessons learned to inspire and empower others.

Yesim Nicholson

Yesim Nicholson is an International Career Coach and Entrepreneur, Yesim is a true citizen of the world with a career spanning six countries and diverse industries. With her passion for innovation and connecting people, Yesim has been involved in a variety of interesting projects,

from launching the International Agriculture University in Tashkent, Uzbekistan to running her own Marketing consultancy in Sydney. Most recently, Yesim has founded YES Career Coaching, a program that helps individuals change careers globally. Her educational background includes a BSc degree in International Management & German from the University of Bath, a coaching diploma, and certification as an NLP practitioner. As the daughter of an English mother and Turkish father, Yesim speaks four languages fluently and has a keen interest in fulfilling people’s potential. Richard Thickpenny

Richard never set out to become an expert on refugee integration having begun his working career as an apprentice with British Telecom in rural Norfolk. Entering the field of economic development for the first time in 2004 he was soon exposed to the needs of communities

he knew little about and began meeting with some of the most influential people in his life. These ranged from community activists in white working-class areas of Bristol suffering intergenerational poverty and deprivation, through to community leaders within refugee and racially minoritised communities. Subsequently Richard has built a strong reputation for designing and delivering innovative projects to realise the capabilities of refugees. These have been recognised in a number of national awards, including the Queen’s Award for Enterprise. He continues this work through the development of projects to ensure diversity is core to the future of work in the UK and community is at the centre of the just transition to Net Zero in East Africa. Alongside his practice led innovation Richard is an Engaged Scholar at Aston University bringing practice into research, focused on the economic resilience of ethnic minority enterprise. Whilst at University of West England he holds a Visiting Fellowship researching knowledge equity in service design.

Bola’s unique combination of her technical background and her organisational drive, commitment and advocacy for DEI, cohesion and integration have led to impactful and ground-breaking culture transformation.

Her impact on the industry spans the breadth of her inclusion work across both private and public sectors, as well as various Board advisory roles – from UK charities, schools to different DEI initiatives such as: AFWL, steerco & Ambassador of #talkaboutblack, core member of the Diversity Project Pathway for female Portfolio Managers and member of the Impact committee of the Black Women in Asset Management network to name a few. In 2018, Bola became founder and Chair of Culture Club, fostering dialogue between different ethnicities and creating a safe space for multiculturalism to thrive while enabling an inclusive workplace for all. Through her passion for inclusion, Bola founded eMentorMi, a DEI consultancy helping firms on their DEI journey to articulate their strategy and roadmap for execution, as well as a mentoring platform helping students from underprivileged backgrounds gain work experience, internships and finance roles within the City. Bola is a Computer Science graduate with an MBA from Warwick Business School for which she’s an Ambassador and Speaker.

Serkan Erdem

Serkan is a Senior Manager at the EY Climate Change and Sustainability Services team based in London. He has more than 9 years of multi-disciplinary experience in helping organizations create value through environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices.

He has worked in consulting, diplomacy, and politics across Turkey, Europe, and the US. He is currently leading teams in delivering ESG assurance, internal audit and broader advisory services that focus on enhancing ESG data quality and complying with reporting requirements.

Alexandre Lemaitre

As a world-champion Brazilian jiujitsu athlete and the first disabled model to participate in Brussels Fashion Week Ethno Tendance, Alexandre is no stranger to breaking barriers. While sports and fashion have been his passions, Alexandre’s true calling lies in the intersection of technology and accessibility.

During his time at VMware, Alexandre served as Co-lead for VM Inclusion UK/I and supported Partner Business Managers for some of the company’s biggest partners. Alexandre have challenged business leaders to prioritize DEI strategies that leverage technology to create a level playing field for all individuals. Accessible education and employment opportunities are key to realizing true inclusion and unlocking the potential of people with disabilities. As a speaker, Alexandre is passionate about sharing his story and insights on how technology can drive greater inclusion for people with disabilities in the workplace and beyond.

Nanditha Vijayaraghavan

As the Chief of Staff at a leading technology scaleup that specializes in family governance solutions and advisory services, Nanditha leverages her global expertise in business strategy and her human sensibilities to drive innovation and growth for the organization.
